I mentioned a long time ago that I didn’t fall in love quickly but the truth is that I don’t even know when I realized that I loved him.
It was just there.
Seeing him made me inexplicably happy.
It was like a quote from The Fault in Our Stars by John Green (which you should read!) said;
“I fell in love the way you fall asleep: slowly, and then all at once.”
And that really is how it was, I looked up one day as he was playing with my dog (Jethro) and I realized that I was head over heels for him.
Our relationship has had ups and downs (and there are more to come I’m sure) but I know that the day I married him was perfect and everything that it was supposed to be – we wanted a celebration, a true testament to how we live our lives and how we wanted to live our life together. Life is one amazing shindig and we wanted our wedding to showcase that.
And did it ever.
I can’t thank our friends, family and guests enough for one hell of a time. Thanks for celebrating with us 🙂
